Semi-Welded GPHE Systems
Balancing Laser-Welded Sealing with Frame Serviceability
Discuss with Engineers
Technical Overview
Our Semi-Welded plate heat exchangers feature plate packs made of laser-welded cassettes (two plates welded together). The aggressive or high-pressure fluid flows inside the welded channel, while the utility fluid flows through the gasketed channel. This balances maximum sealing security with cleanability.
Engineering Specifications
| Cassette Welding | Continuous automated laser weld |
| Max Pressure | 30 BAR |
| Cassette Materials | SS316L, Titanium, Hastelloy |
| Gaskets on Cassette | O-Ring type cassette gaskets in EPDM/NBR |
| Common Applications | Ammonia refrigeration, sulfuric acid cooling |
Key Engineering Features
Safe Refrigerant Containment
Specially engineered for ammonia (R717) and other toxic refrigerants, containing them safely within the welded channels.
Reduced Gasket Area
Eliminates up to 50% of the gasketed seams compared to a standard GPHE, significantly reducing maintenance points and risk of leaks.
Hygienic Process Isolation
Isolates aggressive chemical streams inside welded titanium cassettes while allowing the cooling water side to remain openable.
